The  Lake Artists Society Summer Exhibition 2023 will be held, as usual, at Grasmere Village Hall, Cumbria and run from July 28th until September 6th

In this year's exhibition I am exhibiting three works:

Via dei Bentaccordi       oil on linen      600 x 450 mm      £4000

I've worked on this oil painting, on and off, over several years. Up until recently this little street scene included eight people (down from 9 last year). This June I took out another 7 people - leaving only the elderly lady . . and a much quieter street! 

I hope the the results of these changes make for a more reflective painting.

Salts Mill, Saltaire         pen and ink     330 x 430 mm      £1900

The drawing of Salts Mill in Yorkshire was made for 'Industrial Suite' - an album from jazz pianist, composer and arranger Jacky Naylor 

Leander Crossing Crosby Garrett Viaduct      charcoal     547 x 742 mm      £2400

I saw this engine whilst cheering-on my daughter at a fell running event which began and ended at Crosby Garrett, Cumbria. The drawing was made for a charity auction which, unfortunately, had to be abandoned when Covid struck.
